  • Dear Xanga,

    Dear Xanga,

I regret to inform you that I will no longer be using you as my primary blog. I seem to have more and more problems with this blog each week. Therefore, the few of you who faithfully read this can tune in over at www.skoutz.blogspot.com to keep up with what is happening in my neck of the woods. I will continue to read the blogs of my friends who are having more success with you. See you at my blogspot.

  • This can't be good...

This isn't going to be a good year for college football. I am embarrassed to be a U of M fan today. Unbelievable! At least ND lost too.
  • Back Home...

I am back in Vestaburg again this weekend. I came to see my dad who is slowly recovering from surgery, well, at least slower than he would like. Mom and I are going to finish a couple baby quilts tomorrow and hopefully start the blocks for a third. There are too many people having kids these days!

I’m thankful for the change of pace. This week was an emotional one at school. More on that later. It has been a long time since Mom and I have worked on a quilt together, or any project really. I really wanted to go to Indy with my brother and see my Grandpa but I can’t afford, nor do I have time, to do both. Hopefully I’ll be able to go down soon.

Well I’m off to bed. This has been a very long week.

EDISON MUSIC DEPARTMENT QUOTE OF THE DAY:
Mr. Kurtis: Hey I just left some notes on your board, Sarah.
    Miss Koutz: Great! Thanks!
Mr. Kurtis: And they are true notes too. I promise. They are very true.
    Miss Koutz: Okay?!
Mr. Kurtis: Just ask our 6th grade percussionist. They’ll tell you.
    Notated on the board:
Four eighth notes = Four sixteenth notes
(Yes, you probably have to be a band director to appreciate that.)
